The junior class at the Plymouth Judo Club, now operating from the Brickfields Sports Centre, is a forerunner of the original classes that operated at Virginia House and Embankment Lane back in the very early days of the club. Not only is Judo a fun sport for kids, but it is also a great form of exercise that offers all round fitness. Offering the sport to such a young age gives kids a kick start to an active life rapidly improving their cardiovascular fitness.
We teach children from the age of six, up to fifteen years of age when they are encouraged to move on and join the senior class. It is a class that can be great fun where they can gain confidence, learn self control, discipline and meet new friends.
